For dark brown pigment spots such as birthmarks and sun spots the Q-switched Nd:YAG laser is the ideal treatment tools. The Q-switched lasers are also be used to remove unwanted tattoos. At Ridenour Plastic Surgery we use the powerful and versatile RevLite™ platform.
Freckles, sun spots, liver spots – whatever you call them, are technically known as “pigmented lesions” and usually develop as a result of overexposure to the sun’s UV rays. Treat your unwanted pigment with RevLite laser technology. The laser light vibrates and shatters the pigment and breaks the melanin into micro-particles, lightening and removing the dark, aging spot. Most pigmented lesions disappear after 1-2 treatments; however deeper lesions may require more treatments.
Tattoo removal once meant gambling low odds of success on a high risk of scarring and pain. New advances in laser technology enable tattoo reversal to become a permanent decision. Our tattoo removal laser, RevLite™, features four wavelengths to target a wide range of colors, even difficult-to-treat green and sky blue. As the tattoo is treated, laser energy gently vibrates and shatters the tattoo ink into easily eliminated micro-particles. Over time, the tattoo particles will gradually fade through the lymphatic system and the skin will return to its natural color. 5-15 treatments are typically necessary to achieve tattoo clearance.
